Instructions
- Combine olive oil, red pepper flakes, sea salt, and garlic in a cold saucepan.
- Heat the saucepan over medium-high heat and sauté for about 45 seconds until fragrant without browning the garlic.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes and heat to a gentle simmer for a couple of minutes.
- Taste the sauce and adjust salt if necessary, then stir in the lemon zest, reserving some for garnish.
