Instructions
- Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler and let it cool.
- Beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the melted chocolate, chocolate powder, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Fold in the cake flour in three batches, alternating with the fresh milk.
- Pour the batter into an 8-inch cake pan and bake at 160°C (320°F) for about 50 minutes.
- Check for doneness with a cake tester, then let the cake cool.
- For the ganache, melt dark chocolate, whipping cream, and butter together in a double boiler until smooth.
- Spread the ganache over the cooled cake and top with strawberries and powdered sugar if desired.
