Easy Caprese Chicken Mozzarella

Ingredients

The chicken

  • 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 6 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2-3 teaspoons Garlic Herb Seasoning Blend
  • to taste none salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for sautéing

The sauce and cheese

  • 1 cup commercially prepared marinara sauce (warmed)
  • 4 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese (sliced)
  • to taste none basil or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Rub olive oil over the chicken breasts and season with salt and Garlic Herb Seasoning Blend.
  3. Add oil to the skillet and place the chicken in the pan, cooking for 5-8 minutes per side.
  4. Spoon ¼ cup of marinara sauce over each chicken breast and top with 1 ounce of mozzarella cheese.
  5. Cover the pan and cook on low for 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts, or broil for a few minutes to brown the cheese.
  6. Garnish and serve.
