Ingredients

The dough

  • 2 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package Platinum Yeast from Red Star
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 orange juice and zest

The filling

  • 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon orange zest

The icing

  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 2-3 Tablespoons orange juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough by mixing flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a bowl.
  2. Heat milk and butter until melted, then stir in orange juice, zest, and egg.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients to form a soft dough and knead for 1 minute.
  4. Let the dough rest for about 10 minutes.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread softened butter on top.
  6. Mix cinnamon, sugar, and remaining orange zest, then sprinkle over the dough.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and cut into 10-12 rolls, placing them in a greased pan.
  8. Cover and let the rolls rise for 60-90 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven and bake the rolls until lightly browned.
  10. Prepare the icing by whisking confectioners’ sugar with orange juice.
  11. Drizzle the icing over warm rolls.
