Ingredients

Orange Filling

  • ½ cup real butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange zest

Cranberry Filling

  • cups fresh cranberries
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves

Dough

  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3-4 cups flour
  • 1 packet instant or rapid rise yeast
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg

Orange Glaze

  • cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • ½ teaspoon orange zest

Instructions

  1. Prepare the orange filling by mixing butter, sugar, and orange zest.
  2. Make the cranberry filling by pulsing cranberries, sugar, cinnamon, and cloves in a food processor until finely chopped.
  3. Set the cranberry mixture in a sieve to drain while preparing the dough.
  4. Heat milk and butter in a microwave until butter is melted, then let it cool slightly.
  5. In a mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups of flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  6. Add the milk mixture and egg to the flour mixture, then beat until well combined.
  7. Add remaining flour until the dough is soft and slightly sticky, then knead for 5 minutes.
  8. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the orange filling followed by the cranberry filling.
  9. Roll the dough from the longer side and cut into rolls.
  10. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise until doubled in size.
  11. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  12. Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  13. Prepare the icing by mixing all glaze ingredients together.
  14. Spread icing over the hot rolls.
