Instructions
- Activate the yeast by combining warm milk and yeast in a bowl and let it sit for 3-5 minutes.
- Melt the butter in a microwaveable bowl and stir until fully melted.
- Mix the melted butter with the yeast mixture, adding vanilla, sugar, eggs, orange juice, orange zest, and salt.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until the dough is sticky; add more flour if necessary.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled.
- Prepare the filling by mixing sugar, cinnamon, and orange zest.
- Punch down the dough and roll it out to a 1-inch thick rectangle, brushing with melted butter and sprinkling the filling on top.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice it into 12 rolls.
- Place the rolls in a greased pan and let them rise for about 45 minutes.
- Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cool for 5 minutes.
- Prepare the cream cheese glaze by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, orange zest, vanilla, and orange juice.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve.
