Fudgy Vegan and Grain-Free Brownies with Peanut Butter

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8x8x2 baking pan with parchment paper, greasing it well.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the peanut butter, applesauce, maple syrup, and all but 3 tablespoons of the chocolate chunks, heating over medium until melted.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and let the mixture cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, coconut flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine the cooled peanut butter mixture with the dry ingredients until well mixed; the batter will be thick.
- Spread the batter into the prepared pan, creating a smooth top, and swirl in additional peanut butter if desired.
- Press the remaining chocolate chunks into the top and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Bake for 27-30 minutes until firm and slightly dry on top; let cool completely before slicing.
