Instructions
- Preheat the grill to high heat (450-475℉) for indirect heat or medium-high heat (400℉) for direct heat.
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, fennel seeds, salt, and pepper.
- Divide the mixture into 4 portions and shape into patties about ¼-inch thick, pressing a small indentation in the center of each.
- Grill the patties for 4 minutes, flip, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until done.
- Top each patty with a slice of mozzarella cheese and grill for another 1-2 minutes until melted.
- Heat the pizza sauce in a saucepan or microwave until hot.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun bottom, adding pizza sauce and basil leaves, then topping with the bun.
