Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until creamy.
- Add the eggs, sour cream, and vanilla, mixing until well combined.
- Stir in the Oreo crumbs, flour, and cocoa powder until no dry streaks remain.
- Measure out ¼ cup portions of dough and roll into balls, placing them on the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until the edges are set but the middles are still slightly soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
- For the frosting, cream together the butter and cream cheese until smooth, then add vanilla and gradually mix in powdered sugar.
- Add milk or cream as needed to achieve a thick, spreadable consistency.
- Once the cookies are completely cool, frost each cookie and sprinkle with Oreo crumbs.
