Ingredients

  • cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 10 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup packed light or dark brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons honey or light corn syrup
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 2 Tablespoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (191°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, honey, egg yolk, milk, and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until fully combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Roll the dough into balls, about 1 scant tablespoon each, and place them 2 inches apart on the baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 10-11 minutes until browned on top and around the sides.
  7. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 3 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
