Honey Lime Shrimp

Ingredients

The shrimp

  • 1 1/4 lbs large or extra-large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

The sauce

  • 3 Tbsp honey
  • 3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp lime zest
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 large garlic clove, minced
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Whisk together honey and lime juice in a small mixing bowl to make the sauce.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, then add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and pour in the honey and lime mixture, spreading the shrimp into an even layer.
  4. Cook the shrimp for about 1 1/2 minutes until pink and opaque on the bottom, then flip and cook for another 1 1/2 minutes until fully cooked.
  5. Sprinkle with lime zest and serve warm, optionally over rice with sauce spooned over the shrimp.
