Skillet Chili Garlic and Lime Shrimp

Ingredients

The shrimp

  • 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined

The sauce

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 Tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 Tbsp lower sodium soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 2 green onions chopped

Instructions

  1. Whisk together sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, honey, and ginger in a small bowl to make the sauce.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, drizzle olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp and cook until they start to turn pink.
  4. Add the sauce and continue to cook until the sauce is reduced, stirring regularly.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
  7. Serve immediately.
