Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F and prepare a 12-inch deep dish pizza pan or cake pan by buttering and dusting it with cocoa powder.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, and vegetable oil.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing in the vanilla with the last egg.
- Combine the flour mixture with the wet ingredients and mix until just combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 18-22 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the brownies cool completely on a wire rack.
- For the frosting, blend the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth, then spread over the cooled brownies.
- Refrigerate the frosted brownies for at least 30 minutes.
- Add fresh fruit just before serving, and if desired, brush with warmed apple jelly for shine.
