Instructions
- Preheat the broiler to high for at least 15 minutes and line a sheet pan with aluminum foil.
- In a small skillet, combine the sesame oil, coconut oil, sambal oelek or Sriracha, soy sauce, sesame seeds, and scallions over low heat to infuse the oils.
- Prepare the broccoli by cutting it into spears and tossing it with neutral oil and kosher salt on the prepared sheet pan.
- Broil the broccoli for 5 to 7 minutes, flipping halfway, until charred to your liking.
- Transfer the broiled broccoli to a serving platter.
- Increase the heat under the skillet to medium or high until the oil bubbles rapidly, then pour the sauce over the broccoli.
- Gently toss the broccoli with the sauce and serve immediately or at room temperature.
