Asian Broccolini With Sesame and Ginger

Ingredients

The Broccolini

  • 1 pound broccolini, ends trimmed

The Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
  • pinch red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. 1. Bring ¼ inch of water to a boil in a large skillet.
  2. 2. Add the broccolini, cover, and steam for 8-10 minutes until tender but still firm.
  3. 3. Drain any remaining water from the skillet.
  4. 4. Add butter, soy sauce, grated ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes to the skillet and toss with the broccolini.
  5. 5. Cover and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. 6. Toss with toasted sesame seeds and season with kosher salt if needed.
