Sauteed Spinach

Ingredients

The spinach

  • 20 oz Fresh spinach

The flavorings

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • ½ tsp Sea salt (to taste)
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp Unsalted butter (optional)
  • Lemon wedges optional

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add half of the spinach and stir to mix with the garlic.
  4. Cover and cook until the spinach starts to wilt.
  5. Add the remaining spinach and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cover and cook until all spinach is wilted.
  7. Remove the lid and increase heat to high to evaporate excess liquid.
  8. Stir in butter until melted, then adjust seasoning to taste.
  9. Serve with lemon wedges if desired.
