Ingredients

The meat mixture

  • 1 pound ground meat (turkey, beef, chicken, pork, or a combination)
  • ½ cup bread crumbs or panko or rolled oats
  • cup onion, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup minced fresh parsley
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon dried basil
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For baking

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet with foil and a wire rack.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, bread crumbs, onion, parsley, egg, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix the ingredients well using a spatula or your hands.
  4. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs, aiming for about 24 meatballs.
  5. Place the meatballs on the wire rack, brush with olive oil, and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until browned and cooked through.
