Ingredients

The meat mixture

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork

The flavorings

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ yellow onion grated
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated parmesan
  • cup chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef and pork using your hands without overmixing.
  3. Add the minced garlic, grated onion, eggs, milk, panko breadcrumbs, parmesan, parsley, salt, pepper, and oregano to the meat mixture and mix with your hands, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Using a cookie scoop, portion the mixture into balls (about 3 tbsp each) and place them on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Optionally, simmer in red sauce for an additional 15 minutes.
