Homemade Breadsticks

Instructions
- Combine water and yeast in a large mixing bowl and let it sit until foamy.
- Add milk, sugar, salt, and melted butter, then stir to combine.
- Gradually add flour until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 6-8 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 ½ to 2 hours until doubled.
- Punch down the dough and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Divide the dough into about 12 pieces and shape each into a 6-7 inch rope.
- Place the ropes on the baking sheet, cover, and let rise for about 25 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F during the last 10 minutes of rising.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with desired toppings.
