Vanilla Buttercream Frosting

Instructions
- Beat the softened butter on medium speed until creamy.
- Add 4½ cups of confectioners’ sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract, and mix on low speed for 30 seconds.
- Increase to medium-high speed and beat for 2 minutes.
- Taste the frosting and add a pinch of salt if it is too sweet.
- Adjust the consistency by adding more confectioners’ sugar if too thin or more heavy cream if too thick.
- Use immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
