Instructions
- Mix the sugar and cinnamon together and set aside.
- Line a tray with parchment paper.
- Heat the water, sugar, salt, and butter in a saucepan until boiling, then turn off the heat and stir in the flour until a dough forms.
- Let the dough cool slightly, then pipe it onto the tray in desired shapes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pot to 375°F (190°C) and fry the churros until golden brown.
- Drain the churros on kitchen towels and roll them in the cinnamon sugar.
- For the chocolate sauce, heat the cream until boiling and pour it over the chopped chocolate, stirring until melted.
- Serve the churros warm, drizzled with chocolate sauce or for dipping.
