Ingredients

The crust

  • cups whole-wheat flour
  • ½ cup butter (melted)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons milk

The filling

  • cups milk (preferably whole)
  • 4 units eggs (beaten)
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • optional cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Combine all crust ingredients in a 9-inch pie pan and mix with a fork.
  3. Use your hands to finish mixing, form a ball in the pan, and press it into the pan, bringing it up the sides.
  4. Pinch the top of the crust with your fingers or a fork.
  5. Mix all quiche filling ingredients and pour into the raw crust.
  6. Add desired fillings like ham, cheddar, tomatoes, and goat cheese.
  7. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until the filling is set.
