Ingredients

The chicken

  • 2.5 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast or thighs

The seasoning

  • ¼ cup taco seasoning

The salsa

  • 1 ½ cups salsa

Toppings (optional)

  • to taste jalapeños
  • to taste cilantro
  • to taste shredded iceberg lettuce
  • to taste shredded cheese
  • to taste sour cream
  • to taste avocado
  • to taste lime juice

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle the chicken with taco seasoning.
  2. Arrange the chicken in the bottom of the crockpot and top with salsa.
  3. Cook on high for 3 hours or low for 6 hours.
  4. Shred the chicken if desired before serving.
