Ingredients

The Fish

  • 1 lb. white fish

The Breading

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp Tony Chachere's seasoning
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

The Cooking Oil

  • ¼ cup cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Thaw the fish if frozen and pat dry to remove moisture.
  2. Cut the fish into sticks approximately 3 inches long and ½-inch wide.
  3. Prepare the breading by mixing flour with 1 tsp of seasoning in one bowl, whisking the eggs in another bowl, and combining panko breadcrumbs with the remaining seasoning in a third bowl.
  4. Bread the fish by dipping each stick into the flour, then the eggs, and finally the panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat the cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat until hot.
  6. Fry the fish sticks in batches for 2-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the fried fish sticks to a paper towel-lined plate to drain and cool before serving.
