Ingredients

The broccoli

  • 2 pounds broccoli florets

The seasoning

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

The topping

  • ¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, combine broccoli, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. 3. Toss the mixture to coat the broccoli evenly.
  4. 4. Spread the broccoli on the prepared baking sheet and roast for 35 to 40 minutes until tender and browned.
  5. 5. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and toss to coat.
  6. 6. Return to the oven for an additional 1 to 2 minutes until the cheese is melted.
