Ingredients

The pears

  • 4 pieces pears, cut in half lengthwise

The crumble topping

  • ½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • ½ cup wheat germ
  • ½ cup chopped almonds
  • cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted (or coconut oil)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Scoop out the core from each pear half without removing too much flesh.
  3. Place the pear halves cut side up in a baking dish.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine oats, wheat germ, almonds, honey, and melted butter until coated.
  5. Spoon the oat mixture evenly into the pear halves.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the pears are tender and the topping is golden brown.
