Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- In a pan over medium heat, brown the ground beef with zucchini, garlic, onion, pepper, basil, oregano, and 2 tsp of salt.
- Once the beef is browned and veggies are translucent, add the crushed tomatoes, sugar, remaining salt, and parmesan rind.
- Allow the sauce to simmer for at least 1 hour.
- Build the lasagna by layering sauce, noodles, mozzarella, and parmesan, repeating until all ingredients are used.
- Cover with foil and bake at 375 for 40 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes until the top is done.
