Ingredients

The donuts

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 6 Tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 Tablespoons vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 2 Tablespoons milk
  • 1 egg egg
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 Tablespoon unsalted butter

The strawberry frosting

  • 3–4 pieces strawberries
  • 1 Tablespoon strawberry jam
  • 1–2 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • optional red sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) and prepare a donut pan with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and baking powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together yogurt, milk, egg, vanilla, and melted butter.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Pipe the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 8 to 11 minutes until golden brown and springy to the touch.
  7. Allow the donuts to cool for about 5 minutes before removing them from the pan.
  8. For the frosting, puree strawberries with strawberry jam and gradually mix in confectioners’ sugar until the desired consistency is reached.
  9. Dip the cooled donuts into the frosting and add sprinkles if desired.
  10. Serve immediately or store covered at room temperature for up to 2 days.
