  • 1 ½ tablespoons peanut butter or other nut butter
  • 1 cup uncooked steel cut oats
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt

Optional Additions

  • to taste chia seeds, flaxseeds, or hemp seeds
  • to taste protein powder
  • to taste ground cinnamon
  • to taste citrus zest
  • to taste dried fruit
  • to taste fresh fruit
  • to taste toasted nuts
  • to taste extra honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the milk, honey, nut butter, and any protein powder until smooth.
  2. Stir in the oats, salt, and any other optional additions, except for fresh fruit and nuts.
  3. Cover the bowl tightly and refrigerate overnight or for up to 5 days.
  4. When ready to serve, stir the oats and portion into bowls.
  5. Top with desired fresh fruit, nuts, or other toppings.
