Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and set aside.
- In a mixer, beat butter and sugar until smooth, then add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla, mixing until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture while mixing on low speed, then slowly pour in the milk and mix until just combined.
- Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 60-75 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool the cake in the pan for at least 1 hour before removing.
- For the optional topping, melt chocolate chips and peanut butter together, then drizzle over the cooled cake.
