Ingredients

The marinade

  • 1 tablespoon oil (sesame oil)
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • ΒΌ cup sriracha
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced or grated)

The wings

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • oil for the pan

Instructions

  1. Mix the first seven ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Add the chicken wings and mix well to coat.
  3. Marinate the wings in the fridge for 1 hour.
  4. Remove the wings from the marinade, reserving the marinade.
  5. For indoor cooking, heat oil in a nonstick pan over medium to medium-high heat.
  6. Add the chicken wings, cover, and cook, flipping occasionally until cooked through (about 12-15 minutes).
  7. Remove the lid, add the reserved marinade, and increase heat to high to reduce the sauce.
  8. For grilling, preheat the grill to medium to medium-high heat, brush with oil, and grill the wings, brushing with marinade and turning until charred and cooked through (about 14-18 minutes).
