Instructions
- Poke a hole in the bottom end of each egg using a pin or thumbtack.
- Place the eggs in a medium saucepan and fill it with cold water, ensuring the eggs are in a single layer and submerged by at least 1 inch.
- Add ½ teaspoon of baking soda for every 3 cups of water.
- Bring the water to a boil over high heat and set a timer for 1 minute once boiling.
- After 1 minute, remove the pot from heat, cover it, and let the eggs sit in the hot water for 10 minutes.
- Prepare a bowl of ice water while waiting.
- Transfer the eggs to the bowl of ice water and submerge them for 5 minutes.
- Crack the shells gently against a hard surface and peel starting from the bottom end.
