Instructions
- Prepare a 13 by 9-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cream, dijon mustard, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper; set aside.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat, then add onion and bell pepper, sautéing until golden brown and tender.
- Add spinach to the skillet and sauté until wilted, then remove from heat.
- Mix in ham and parsley with the sautéed vegetables.
- Layer half of the bread in the baking dish, followed by half of the vegetable mixture and half of the cheese.
- Repeat the layering process with the remaining bread, vegetables, and cheese.
- Whisk the egg mixture again and pour it evenly over the strata.
- Press down to submerge the ingredients in the egg mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Bake the strata until the center is set, about 50 to 60 minutes.
- Allow to rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving warm.
