Healthy Chicken Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • ½ cup finely diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ¾ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground chicken, onion, garlic, salt, paprika, and black pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Mix the ingredients until well combined, then divide the mixture into 4 equal sections.
  3. Wet your hands to prevent sticking, and form each section into a patty about 1 inch thick.
  4. Heat olive oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook the patties for 5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 4 to 5 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 165ºF.
  6. Serve the burgers warm with your choice of toppings, either on a bun or wrapped in lettuce.
