Ingredients

The Burgers

  • 1.5 lbs. ground lean turkey
  • cup fresh diced cilantro
  • ½ tablespoon diced chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • to taste salt
  • 1 tablespoon grape seed oil

The Toppings

  • 1 slice beef steak tomato
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce
  • 3 avocados
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • to taste Homemade Pickled Onions

Instructions

  1. Make the pickled onions.
  2. In a bowl, combine ground turkey, cilantro, chipotle peppers, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper, mixing well.
  3. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.
  4. In a separate bowl, mash the avocados with lime juice and sea salt.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add grape seed oil.
  6. Cook the turkey patties for 5-6 minutes on each side until nicely seared.
  7. Assemble the burgers with a lettuce wedge, tomato slice, turkey patty, guacamole, and pickled onions.
  8. Serve and enjoy.
