Chipotle Turkey Burgers

Ingredients

The burgers

  • 2 lbs ground turkey
  • 1 tsp chipotle powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

The toppings

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 medium tomato
  • 1 head bibb or romaine lettuce

The guacamole

  • 2 medium avocados
  • medium red onion
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a large cast iron pan over medium heat until crispy, then remove and set aside.
  2. Prepare the toppings while the bacon cooks.
  3. Mix the ground turkey, chipotle powder, and garlic powder in a bowl and form into patties.
  4. Cook the patties in the same pan as the bacon for about 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
  5. Make the guacamole by mixing the avocado, red onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  6. Assemble the burgers using lettuce as buns, topping with guacamole, bacon, and tomato.
