Ingredients

The marinade

  • ΒΌ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger

The salmon

  • 6 oz skin-on salmon fillets
  • to taste neutral oil (such as grapeseed)

Instructions

  1. Mix the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and Sriracha in a bowl, then add garlic and ginger.
  2. Add the salmon fillets to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the broiler and prepare an oven-safe pan with a small amount of oil.
  4. Remove the salmon from the marinade, pat the skin dry, and place the fillets skin-side down in the pan.
  5. Broil the salmon for 5 minutes until caramelized.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add oil.
  7. Transfer the salmon to the skillet, skin-side down, and cook for about 1 minute until the skin is crispy.
  8. Let the salmon rest for 1 minute before serving.
