Ingredients

The chicken wings

  • 2 ½ – 3 lbs. chicken wings (drumettes and wings)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon chipotle chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • to taste green onions or sesame seeds (optional garnish)

The honey mustard sauce

  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon ground mustard
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry and place them in a large bowl.
  3. Mix the paprika, garlic powder, chipotle chili powder, and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
  4. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the wings, add canola oil, and toss to coat.
  5. Place a wire rack on a baking sheet and spread the wings evenly on the rack.
  6. Bake the wings for 20 minutes.
  7. Flip the wings and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes.
  8. While the wings are baking, heat a small pot over medium-high heat and combine the mustard, honey, ground mustard, and butter, stirring until melted.
  9. Toss the cooked wings in a large bowl with the honey mustard sauce until coated.
  10. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
