Small-batch Cream Scones

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F and prepare a baking sheet.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Combine heavy cream and vanilla in a separate container, then drizzle over the flour mixture and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- Shape the dough into a ball on a floured surface and flatten into a disk about 5 ½ inches across.
- Cut the disk into six wedges and transfer them to the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Brush the tops with additional cream for browning.
- Bake for 14 to 16 minutes until golden and baked through.
- Let sit for 5 minutes before serving warm.
