Ingredients

Cream Scones

  • cup all-purpose flour
  • teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Maple Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1-3 tablespoon milk
  • ¼ teaspoon maple extract
  • a pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, mix the heavy cream and vanilla.
  4. Combine the cream mixture with the dry ingredients until a dough forms.
  5. Shape the dough into a disk and cut into 6 triangles.
  6. Place the scones on the baking sheet and brush with cream.
  7. Bake for 14 to 16 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool the scones before glazing.
  9. Mix the powdered sugar, melted butter, milk, maple extract, and salt to make the glaze.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the scones and let it set before serving.
