Roasted Shrimp Scampi

Ingredients

The shrimp

  • 8 oz medium-sized shrimp, shelled and deveined

The sauce

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon white wine
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley leaves
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 dashes ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes
  • to taste lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 550°F (287°C) for broiling.
  2. Rinse the shrimp and pat them dry.
  3. Combine the shrimp with the rest of the ingredients in a baking dish and stir well.
  4. Transfer the baking dish to the oven and broil for 4-5 minutes until the shrimp are cooked.
  5. Serve immediately with lemon wedges, over pasta or rice, or enjoy as is.
