Ingredients

The pasta

  • 12 oz. linguine

The shrimp

  • lbs uncooked extra large shrimp, peeled and deveined

The sauce

  • 3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup dry white wine
  • to taste salt
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper
  • tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine according to package instructions and reserve some pasta water.
  2. Melt butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, then sauté garlic until lightly golden.
  3. Add wine and simmer until reduced by half.
  4. Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, and cook until shrimp turn pink.
  5. Stir in lemon juice and parsley, then toss with the pasta and serve immediately.
