Ingredients

The sauce

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • ¼ cup dry white wine
  • ¼ teaspoon red chili flakes
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley

The shrimp

  • 2 pounds large shrimp

Instructions

  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until melted.
  2. Add garlic and lemon zest, stirring until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the white wine, adding red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper; bring to a simmer.
  4. Add the shrimp, cover, and cook until slightly translucent.
  5. Reduce heat and cook until shrimp are fully cooked and pink.
  6. Remove from heat, stir in lemon juice and remaining butter, and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  7. Garnish with parsley before serving.
