Ingredients

  • 2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
  • teaspoons kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • cup lukewarm water

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Cut the softened butter into the flour mixture using a fork.
  3. Stir in the lukewarm water until a shaggy dough forms.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead briefly until it comes together.
  5. Cut the dough into small pieces and shape each into a ball.
  6. Cover the balls with a towel and let them rest for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
  7. Roll each ball into a thin round, about 6-8 inches for tacos or 10-12 inches for burritos.
  8. Heat a skillet on medium-high and cook each tortilla for about 30 seconds on each side.
