Instructions
- Shred the cabbage, slice the onion into thin half-moons, and chop the apple into small pieces.
- Sauté the onion in olive oil over medium heat for 2 minutes.
- Add the apple, coconut sugar (or brown sugar), red wine vinegar, salt, pepper, and ground cloves, and stir until mixed.
- Add the red cabbage and cook on low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until wilted and tender.
- Adjust seasoning with more vinegar, salt, and pepper to taste.
