Small Batch Roasted Garlic Cheese Bread

Ingredients

The roasted garlic

  • 1 head raw Garlic
  • to taste unit Olive Oil
  • a pinch unit Salt

The cheese bread

  • 2 slices Italian Bread (5 inch section)
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter (softened)
  • 1 head Roasted Garlic
  • ¼ cup finely grated Parmesan
  • ¼ tsp Crushed Red Pepper (optional)
  • ¼ tsp Kosher Salt
  • ¼ tsp freshly cracked Black Pepper
  • ¼ tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tbsp freshly chopped Parsley
  • 4 oz low-moisture shredded Mozzarella

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and prepare the garlic for roasting.
  2. Wrap the garlic in foil and roast for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350°F for the cheese bread.
  4. Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise and make cuts 3/4 of the way through each half.
  6. Combine the softened butter and roasted garlic in a bowl, then mix in the remaining ingredients for the garlic butter.
  7. Spread the garlic butter on the bread and top with shredded mozzarella.
  8. Bake for 10 minutes, then broil for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Let cool for a minute before serving hot.
