Ingredients

The cookie dough

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup milk

The filling

  • ¼ cup Nutella

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate filling by dropping 12 heaping teaspoons of Nutella on parchment paper and freeze for an hour.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking soda.
  4. In another bowl, mix white sugar, brown sugar, softened butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until a dough forms, then fold in chocolate chips. Add milk if the dough is too thick.
  6. Form 12 balls of cookie dough, flatten each, and place a piece of frozen Nutella in the center, then cover it completely with dough.
  7. Bake for 12-14 minutes until the edges are slightly brown, then cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
