Easy Margherita Pizza

Ingredients

The dough

  • 1 cup all purpose or white whole wheat flour
  • teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup 0% Stonyfield Greek yogurt

The sauce

  • cup canned san marzano tomatoes
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 pinch dried oregano
  • to taste fresh black pepper
  • 4 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese
  • to taste fresh basil
  • to drizzle extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and whisk together.
  2. Add yogurt and mix until well combined; the mixture will look crumbly.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until it is tacky but not sticky.
  4. Preheat the oven to 450°F and prepare a pizza stone or pan.
  5. Roll out the dough into a thin round and place it on the prepared dish.
  6. Spread the sauce over the crust and top with mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden.
  8. Remove from the oven, add fresh basil and drizzle with olive oil if desired.
  9. Slice the pizza into 8 pieces and serve.
