Homemade Margherita Pizza

Instructions
- Combine yeast, 1 tablespoon of flour, and ¼ cup warm water; let it sit until foamy.
- Mix in the remaining flour, warm water, salt, and olive oil until combined.
- Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, then let it rise in a warm place for 60 to 90 minutes.
- While the dough rises, puree the tomatoes and cook garlic in olive oil until fragrant.
- Add pureed tomatoes, sugar, and basil to the pot; simmer for 20-30 minutes until reduced.
- Preheat the oven to 500°F and prepare a baking tray with cornmeal.
- Shape the dough on the tray, spread sauce, and top with mozzarella and optional tomato slices.
- Bake for 12-16 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
