Ingredients

  • 1 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 cup raw mixed nuts
  • cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 1–2 tablespoons chia seeds or flaxseed (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup or raw honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients in the order listed and stir to mix well.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the nuts are golden and the chocolate is slightly melted.
  6. Remove the pan from the oven and let the granola cool on the pan without touching it.
  7. Once cooled, break the granola into large clusters.
  8. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
